Over the summer of 2011, LUTubeTV rebranded and became LA1:TV. We’ve been busy producing more content and creating more ways for you to get involved! You can find us on both Facebook and Twitter!

Most of the content from this website is in the process of being moved over to LA1:TV, but this website will remain up to maintain links etc.

Woah. It’s been one heck of a past few weeks for LUTube, in an awesome way of course! In a whirlwind of live events from our Brass Band Coverage, to our Full Time Officer Election Coverage (which you can watch here: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3) as well as filming all the goings on at Campus Fest, which will be up on the site shortly. Not to mention, we also had an Exec election ourselves (see our Exec Page to meet the new team) and filmed a variety of society and sports clubs events. We also has the NASTA awards coming up, which we’ve entered a variety of video, so wish us luck and you may be lucky enough to see some of the entries on the site soon!

Now Term 2 has ‘technically’ drawn to a close (we’re all still left wondering why Week 11 exists), our thoughts have turned to our coverage of ‘Roses’ the huge sporting competition between Lancaster and York Uni’s, which this year is taking place at York. This is a great oppitunity for you to get involved with LUTube, as we are hard at work both at Lancaster and York putting footage and shows together. We’ll be posting more details of how you can get involved over the coming weeks, but if you are interested, send us a message on the contact page.

Hello everyone!

Just a quick message to let you know what’s going on the website bit of LUTube.tv! Apart from this new website that we have mainly built to be a platform for the “most embarrassing screenshot of the year” awards, we have a few other places you can go to get your fill of LUTube.tv!

For starters, head over to our Facebook Page to get notified of all the stuff that is going in the LUTube community, or for us to gently SPAM your Live Feed with all the awesome videos that we are putting up.

For those of your who partake in communication of 140 characters or less, check out our Twitter Feed, you’ll be able to get regular updates on what is going on in the site, and will no doubt factor into our coverage of live events!

And finally, for the moment, if you want to contact LUTube or want to get involved, the best thing to do would be to Email Us!

We’ll be posting a lot more stuff over the coming weeks, including information about our open day and plenty more cool stuff that we are up to around campus, so stay, erm, tuned!

The latest episode of QI2 is being filmed on wednesday 24th November at 2:30pm in fylde lecture theatre 2. We need a large audience for this shoot so please come along and invite your friends.

Episodes 2-6 of the LUTube drama series UNIversal are being released this term, starting with Episode 2: Meet Me On The Equinox, which was released at the end of week 6. The remaining episodes will be released next term, with the series finale being released at the end of third term. Extra content, including behind the scenes video and photos as well as the production blog are available on the UNIversal website www.universaldrama.co.uk

UNIversal is a serial drama charting the trials and tribulations of a group of Fresher’s as they progress through their first year at Lancaster. However, they’re not your average group of students, each with a unique and individual storyline, and the twists and turns they experience throughout their time at University will bring drama to Campus. From the growing, yet forbidden, attraction between Tom and Sarah and the devastation that that will soon bring to Chris and Heather, to the budding friendship of the equally lonely Lisa and Ryan; to the unimaginable predicament of Lily and Elspeth, and the banter and humour of the overly arrogant, but secretly sensitive, Julian. UNIversal is the first step in hopefully a continuing drama about the untold stories of Lancaster University.

A largely peaceful but noisey demonstration, there was however one incedent and a student was arrested by the police who maintained a large presence throughout the demonstration.

Roses may be over for another year, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait for next year to watch the sporting action.
