Between Friday 30th April and Sunday 2nd May, the 46th sporting battle between the Universities of Lancaster and York will take place. Lancaster are hosting this year, and LUTube are providing coverage of nearly every event, and from three live locations including an Outside Broadcast truck.
This is a mammoth undertaking, and as such, is a fantastic and unmissable opportunity to get involved with us and to gain experience which also looks great on your CV!
We have a whole range of areas to get involved in, for example:
- Rigging
- Production runners
- Camera operating
- Sound mixing
- Engineering
- Networking
- Output monitoring
- Editing
- Producing
- Directing
- Presenting
- Reseaching
and many more!
If you’ve ever wanted to experience any area of broadcasting on pretty much any level then this is the perfect opportunity.
Don’t worry if you’ve not had any previous experience, as full training will be provided!
So, if you’re interested drop an email to lutubetv@lancaster.ac.uk with the subject ‘Roses 2010′ and we’ll go from there!
As it becomes available nearer the time, further coverage information can be found here.
To get in you in the swing of things, here’s what we did last year.

LUTube are producing our very own version of the Channel 4 programme ‘Come Dine With Me’, where a series of contestants take it in turns to host their own dinner party, with the winner being the host who scores the highest mark.
If you’re interested in being a contestant on the programme, or you’d like to help with its production, please email jamesa4@lancs.ac.uk.
