We’re back!

LUTube are back after the Christmas break, and we hope everyone had a great vacation and enjoyed the snow!

Coming up this term we have several new and exciting productions including: UNIversal, a promising new drama (see the Facebook group), and LUTube’s very own version of Dr Who (Facebook group found here). Also coming up is a gameshow which promises to messy, as well as some new comedy.

Also, this term sees us deliver our first live broadcast of the year with the LUSU Sabbatical Elections in Week 8, as well as its associated productions. See last year’s output here.

All these programmes are a great way to get more involved in what we do, so do please either contact the relevant person or drop by one of our meetings!

Christmas Meal!

Howdy folks,

The ever popular LUTube Christmas Meal and all its festive shenanigans is this coming Monday night (Wk 10). We will be eating at The Plough in Galgate, where we are aiming to arrive at 7.30pm.

We will therefore be meeting on campus at 7pm in Furness Bar. If you live off campus and wish to go straight there, then the numbers 40, 41, and 42 buses go through Galgate.

Dress is smart casual, and we hope to see you all there :)

Website Update

Over the course of Michealmas Term, the LUTube TV website is undergoing a revamp. The idea is to make it much more easier to locate our programme content, as well as improve the general appearance of the site.

This transition is occuring over a number of stages, with a couple of major changes planned for before Christmas, including full screen videos.

The development team have been able to introduce a new video player to the site, which offers not only larger sized in-page video, but the ability to optimize your viewing experience through full screen playback.

Also, the Exec can now be contacted through individual emails. Keep an eye on the Exec page for these!

If you have a suggestion the development team would love to hear it! Please contact Andrew Ratcliffe (a.ratcliffe@lancaster.ac.uk) or post a comment on the Forum.
